Scottish Natural Products Network (SNaPNet) Networking Event in conjunction with the Bioeconomy Cluster Builder

A drop-in networking event bringing together the Scottish Natural Products community to help shape the goals and objectives of the network.

The multidisciplinary field of Natural Products includes topics such as synthetic biology, biomass and waste products and drug discovery (to name a few). This event aims to support the creation of a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral network that can work towards targets such as the Scottish Government’s Net Zero by 2045 pledge and encourage the growth of the bioeconomy.

This informal drop-in event will be hosted online allowing you to move freely across the virtual get-together. There will be tables where you can take part in discussion around three key topics which it is hoped will shape the goals and objectives of the network:

  • Where are Scotland’s strengths in Natural Products research and innovation?

  • What outputs would reflect a successful network?

  • What sorts of skills do graduates need for a career in industry/academia within the Natural Products field?

To showcase your company or your research in natural products you can submit a virtual poster. These are intended to provide a brief overview of research projects and businesses in the Natural Products arena in Scotland and can be pre-recorded video, or audio over slides format (maximum duration of 3 minutes). For more information please contact Alan Wiles at aaw9@st-andrews.ac.uk

Attendees are welcomed from all career levels in industry, academia, the NHS and the broader public sector.
